The Heart Behind Raising Roots

I am Satish—a father of two daughters, a former corporate professional, and now a full-time seeker of a simpler life through farming and Raising Roots.

For years, I navigated the fast-paced corporate world, chasing deadlines and living by the clock. But as I watched my daughters grow, I realized that while I was busy building a career, the most important foundation—my family’s—needed my full attention.

I decided to step away from the race to get back to my roots—literally and metaphorically. I am now dedicating my time to organic farming and building Raising Roots, a platform born from my desire to slow down and nurture what truly matters.

Why We Must Return to Our Roots.

From the Cubicle to the Soil: I traded my laptop for a spade because I realized we are all living at the “surface level”—disconnected from nature and from each other. I want to show my children that true wealth isn’t found in a bank account, but in the soil we tend and the values we keep.

Bridging the Gap: My mission is to act as a bridge between Ancient Wisdom and Modern Parenting. I believe that if the roots are strong, a tree can survive even the hardest storms. By combining the timeless values of our scriptures with the realities of modern life, we can give our children a foundation that lasts a lifetime.

A Fellow Traveler: I am not a guru. I am a father who is learning, stumbling, and growing right alongside you. This blog is my journal, my research lab, and my conversation with you as I explore how to raise children who are grounded, resilient, and deeply connected to their roots.

The Vision “We aren’t just raising children to be successful; we are raising the good human beings who will eventually transform our society. It all starts with making the roots strong.”
